KESTRELというブランド
ケストレルについて調べてみたら、メーカーサイトが普通にありました。

ちょっと気になったのですが、
世界初のフルカーボンバイクフレーム“KESTREL4000”を世に生み出す
世界初のフルカーボンフレームってLOOKじゃないの？？と思っていたのですが、LOOKのサイトでは１９８６年にフルカーボンフレームを投入とあり、ケストレルも１９８６年になってました。
世界初のカーボンフレームはケストレルのようです。
ちなみにアメリカのブランドのようです。
トライアスロンでの人気が高いようなことも書いてありましたが、実物を全く見たことがない上に、話に聞いたことも無かったので私が単に無知なだけですね。
日本での代理店はアキボウになっているので、アキボウの取り扱いがあるところなら手に入る・・・と言いたいところなんですが、日本サイトは２０１５年で更新をストップしている（？）みたいな。

ケストレルって日本でも知名度が高いほうなんでしょうか？？
私は初めて聞いたブランドでしたので。
日本のケストレルサイトでは、ロードバイクになっているのは一種類だけ。

本国サイトによると、２０１８年にリリースしたLEGEND SL（リムブレーキ）はフレーム重量６２５ｇと軽量に仕上がっているようですし、ディスクブレーキ車も出している様子。
日本でもまだ買える？
日本の代理店サイトが更新されていないようなのでよく分からないのですが、本国サイトを見る限りでは結構お買い得なモデルも普通にある。

TALON X SHIMANO 105という車種でカーボンフレーム（エアロ）に１０５を載せて１７９９ドル。
日本円だと、１９万くらいでしょうか。
ただし２０１９年モデルとなってます。
重量も８．３３キロなので、この値段ならむしろアリな部類。
こちらは軽量フレームのLEGEND SL。

フレーム重量６２５ｇ、アルテグラ搭載で総重量は７．１１キロ。
価格は２４９９ドルなので、結構安いんですよね。
２０１９年モデルになってますが。
ただ、なんか情報があまりにも少なく、よく分からないことが多いというか。
元々FUJIと同じグループにいたけど親会社のAdvanced Sports Enterprises（ASE)が倒産して、その後BikeCo、LLCに継承されたみたいな話のようなんですが、

うーん、ちょっと状況はよくわかりませんでした。
