これは予想通り、クリンチャーの圧勝。
とはいえ、チューブレス派も増えてきてますね。
クリンチャーの良さは、全てにおいて平均点以上というところなんじゃないかと思うんです。
走りの性能でいうなら、チューブレスのほうが転がり抵抗も少なく、乗り心地もいい。
けどチューブレスの場合は、リムとタイヤの相性次第ではタイヤを外すのが困難だとか、パンクしてしまったときは面倒だとか・・・
しかもまだロードチューブレスはイマイチ規格が定まっているわけでもないので、CADEXとかはフックレスリムに突入している。
使えるタイヤはかなり限られてくるわけですが。

クリンチャーの良さというのは
・クリンチャータイヤなら全て使える
・嵌めることが困難、外すことが困難ということはほぼない
・パンクしてもチューブを交換すれば元通りに復旧できる
走行性能、簡便さ、作業性、使い勝手などが平均点以上、だけど秀でているわけでもないというのがクリンチャーの良さなのかもしれません。
走行性能が100点満点でも、作業性が10点とかだったら使い勝手は悪いですし。

使いたいタイヤとなると、チューブレスタイヤが伸びてます。
やはりチューブレスに興味を持つ人は多いのかと。
私自身は面倒なことよりも簡単なほうが好きなんで、今のところクリンチャー一本で行く予定です。
チューブレスは、いい話も聞くし、悪い話も聞くし、何とも言い難いところ。
チューブ入れたら完了するクリンチャーって、ある意味では最強なんですよね。
前に読者様も言ってましたが、リムとタイヤの相性問題はかなり大きいようで、

うちにあるルビノプロと各社ホイールで試したところ
トレック純正…指で押すだけで外れる
マヴィック…頑張ればなんとか外れる。最悪踏めばなんとかなる
フルクラム…角材かませてウォーターポンププライヤーで挟むと外れる
こんな感じです。フルクラムにルビノだと外出時にパンクしたら絶望しかありません。
こういうのまとめてみるとみんな助かるかな？なんて思います。個体差はあるでしょうけど。

2011年頃からクロスバイクやロードバイクにはまった男子です。今乗っているのはLOOK765。
ひょんなことから訴訟を経験し(本人訴訟)、法律の勉強をする中で道路交通法にやたら詳しくなりました。なので自転車と関係がない道路交通法の解説もしています。なるべく判例や解説書などの見解を取り上げるようにしてます。
現在はちょっと体調不良につき、自転車はお休み中。本当は輪行が好きなのですが。ロードバイクのみならずツーリングバイクにも興味あり。
